Silver Beach Elk
Author G.M. Moore looked to the discovery of the Silver Beach Elk for inspiration when writing Ancient Elk Hunt. The 500-year-old elk skeleton and 10,000-year-old Clovis point were found in 2005 in the waters of Middle Eau Claire Lake near Barnes, Wisconsin.
